Blood Cancer United presents Visionaries of the Year

Some people see what's possible. Others make it happen.

Visionaries of the Year brings together bold leaders who turn passion into purpose, inspiring their networks and driving meaningful change for people affected by blood cancer.

Together, they help shape a better future—one without blood cancer.

Congratulations 2026
National Visionary of the Year

Andy Calvert from Washington, D.C. led The Difference Makers to an incredible national finish, raising $624,548 for Blood Cancer United’s mission. After years of encouragement from volunteers, Andy said yes to the campaign when his father, Jim, was diagnosed with MDS in 2025. With support from his family, colleagues, company Presidio, and community partners, Andy rallied others around a deeply personal reason to make a difference. His dad was there to proudly join him on stage as Andy accepted his award.
